After bringing Gucci from bankruptcy to a billion-dollar valuation, Tom Ford left his position as creative director to launch Tom Ford brand in April of 2005. In that same year, he teamed up with Marcolin group to distribute optical frames and sunglasses, which now rank in the top 3 brands at specialty stores worldwide. Now an acclaimed filmmaker on top of his design success, Ford has always had an obsession with perfection to the point where he considered it an illness. This certainly shows in his eye catching and unique range of eyewear designs.
